Hello!
I’m Dr Stephen Yim, I’m an obstetrician and gynaecologist working in the North Shore region of Sydney. Since my first years of qualifying as a medical doctor from the University of Newcastle in 2007, I’ve had the pleasure and honour of being involved in caring for women and their partners.
I am passionate about women’s health and all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth – from advice on conception to pregnancy, delivery and beyond. Now with a few years of experience under my belt, I’ve taken the step to provide an additional private service centered around The Sydney Adventist and Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Hospitals.
I want you and your family to feel comfortable whilst in my care and that I’ll be available and attentive to your needs based on your unique circumstances.
I believe in teamwork and where necessary, I can plan care with other professionals such as midwives, physiotherapists, counsellors and healthcare providers with similar approaches to ensure you are well cared for.
Besides pregnancy care, I also provide general gynaecological and women’s health services ranging from adolescent menstrual concerns, contraception, and sexual health right through to menopause and prolapse diagnosis and management.
Lastly, being a long-term resident of Sydney’s North Shore, currently residing in St. Ives, I understand the diversity of cultures in the area. I can communicate in Cantonese, Mandarin, Malay/Indonesian.
